NationalHonorSociety

Today we had a NHS meeting during advocacy. We were told how they had, and how we could, become part of National Honor Society. They lit the traditional candles, one by one, as they recited their goals, pledges, and accomplishments. It was an inspiring ceremony and reminded our student body of how special our school really is. Keep up the good work NHS!!

Zerbe reflects on the Basketball game!

Basketball Game

Today there was a game of basketball between the Timberwolf teams and the Timberwolf faculty. The match shot back and forth, as basketball games often do. The first match was the faculty vs. the girls team. Both put up a good fight, but the teachers won. The second match was the teachers vs. the boys team. The teachers led off the clash with a massive foul, and continued on that way the rest of the game. The boys team played fair and emerged victorious with a score of 10 to 5. The matches were interesting and fun to watch, and it really boosted the schools spirit about winter sports!

Battle of the Bands!!!!

The Battle of the Bands had an excellent turnout the masses weren't disappointed. The bands were amazing and the crowd was howling and screaming the whole time. The victor of the competition was the band Spring Loaded Hot-dog and The Password is Jaded, another band, came in close second. The two were neck and neck throughout the whole night. As a prize, both bands were given slots for recording sessions. The stage was rockin when Chronologic and Sam n' Nate took up the microphones. The night raised a ton of money for the music department and, more importantly, rocked out loud! We can only hope that there will be another battle of the bands competition next year, and that it will be twice as awesome.

Veterans Day!!!

Here at East Mountain High School, Veterans Day was well celebrated. We had many visitors who came into classrooms and told about their experiences. Those of us who have family who are veterans, or have family who are currently serving in the military swell with pride on the occasion, more so than usual. Our veterans deserve everyday to be honored, but we must settle for just the one day out of three hundred sixty five. We thank you veterans, all of you, for your courage, determination, and loyalty. We salute you.
